FMECA
AN ESSENTIAL TOOL TO CONTROL QUALITY AND SAFETY

" We chose the quality because the luck had become too expensive. " (Jean Abraham) " In the running in the quality, there is no finishing line. " (David Kearns) " The quality is never an accident; it is always the result of an intelligent effort. " (John Ruskin)

Failure Modes Effects Critically Analysis

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Detection is a means, device, procedure (envisaged and existing) making it possible precociously to detect a cause or a mode of failure.These means are listed in following tables FMECA :
They consist of checks, control, points of stop envisaged in the procedures, alarms, indicators, plans of preventive maintenance, etc.
This base of diagnosis can of course grow rich as the experiment is capitalized and/or that unknown situations appears. It is in addition of primary importance that the persons in charge are aware of the potentialities of risks which remain active. Moreover, differently from the FMEA study, the FMECA method makes it possible to estimate the criticality of the failures quantitatively.
